This Trader Joe’s tofu is organic, and has a pleasantly firm texture to it. It absorbs flavors really well, and so is a nice option for vegans looking for a cheap way to get some protein. At a price of under $2, this is an old standby at TJs. There are now a bunch of different variations of tofu at TJ’s, including Trader Joe’s sriracha tofu, which is delicious, and high protein tofu. TJ’s has always been great about having a bunch of different tofu options available in their refrigerated section. Let me know everyone’s favorite way to cook this tofu, and what flavors are especially good at permeating the tofu full of taste and deliciousness…….…….

Tofu at Trader Joe’s
Trader Joe’s tofu does really well when its baked or tossed in super strong sauces. Among some of the TJs tofu selections are baked tofu and sprouted tofu. I’d imagine that tofu must sell really, really well at Trader Joe’s if they carry so many different varieties of it. Is there a go to tofu from TJ’s that everyone uses for different types of recipes or meals? I haven’t cooked much with tofu, but I know there a ton of creative and interesting recipes that people make from this soy based white brick of flavor absorption.
The ingredients listed on the package are water, organic soybeans and calcium sulfate. While this particular tofu is under $2, some of the other ones like high protein tofu are around $2.49 or more. Tofu can get pricey at many specialty grocers, so these are generally fairly priced at TJs. And now to research the thousands of interesting tofu recipes that are out there. If you can’t make it to TJs, give one of these products a shot….
