Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi, Made in Italy

These soft little pillows of Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi pretty much have the same consistency as gnocchi made with pasta. They taste a bit like cauliflower but mostly they act to mimic gnocchi with far fewer carbs. They soak up flavors and sauces really well, and so can be put in a pan and mixed with just about any sauce you like. You can crisp these up a bit if you saute them, or you can just microwave them if you’re feeling lazy. The key to cauliflower gnocchi is making sure you have a super rich and delicious sauce to drown them in. Trader Joe’s recommends butter and sage, but you can pretty much use anything you’d use on real pasta. As a bonus, at under $3, these are way cheaper than any other grocery that carries cauliflower gnocchi!………….

Cauliflower Gnocchi at Trader Joe’s

What is everyone’s favorite way to make these mini pillows of goodness? I’d imagine if you regularly buy cauliflower gnocchi as a low carb option to pasta and to get some of your veggies, you have a go to sauce to make with this! Because the price of these are so cheap, I always feel like I can splurge on a sauce recipe to cook them in. If anyone has an absolutely foolproof cauliflower gnocchi recipe, I would love to know! A few times I have made these tossed in my go to vodka marinara sauce and they absorbed all the sauce flavors incredibly well. And because these don’t have a strong taste, you are eating your vegetables while only tasting delicious marinara sauce. Now that’s living if you ask me. Or maybe laziness. And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try….
