This Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Gnocchi is incredibly pillowy and sweet tasting. The butter and sage taste come through strongly, and this is a great side dish or even main course. For Thanksgiving I could see using this as an alternative to candied yams or something similar. The aftertaste is definitely strong, but in a good, buttery way. I love this TJ’s Sweet potato Gnocchi, but I have to really feel like it when I make it because it is super rich. I’ve actually microwaved this and it’s tasted great, but you can also make it easily on the stove. For the price, which is somehow under $3.00, I usually keep one of these in my freezer. The smell is really the thing that makes this glad you made it. It fills up the house with a fall smell in a really comforting way. Reminds me of the holidays with family around and food in the oven…….

Sweet Potato Gnocchi at Trader Joe’s
Ok, so if you’re craving something slightly sweet with a dense, rich taste and a strong buttery aftertaste, this is your jam. This Trader Joe’s sweet potato gnocchi has a really good texture like well made normal gnocchi, but it is really the generous sauce that’s included that makes the dish. Some people I know find it too sweet and strong, but a few of my friends swear by this as a weekly meal, so it’s really up to whether or not you like the ingredients. I’m curious if anyone has any sweet potato gnocchi recipes they’ve incorporated this into. And don’t forget to mix it up when it’s done so the buttery sage sauce gets all over the gnocchis!
