Trader Joe’s Seaweed Snack, Roasted Sea Salt

This Trader Joe’s seaweed snack has a super salty flavor that tastes like a cross between the ocean and toasted oil. It comes in sheets of nori, or Seaweed, and is good for something to fill you up without any sugar or many calories. Most people have probably had it with rice when they eat sushi rolls. But the fact that this is toasted seaweed, or Yaki Nori, really brings out the flavors. When the salt mixes with the toasted oil and seaweed, this is actually a really satisfying thing to eat. It can be a turn off to some people if they really don’t like the smell or taste of fish, but you should give this a shot since it really has it’s own unique flavor profile…..…….

Roasted Seaweed Snack at Trader Joe’s

This is a great thing to have in your pantry if you get hungry and don’t want to eat something that is really unhealthy. The only thing that can be somewhat of a pain is the nori sheets are pretty big so you may have to cut them up if you just want a small snack. What does everyone eat with Trader Joe’s seaweed snacks? Its kind of hard to know what to eat with them or if you should be dipping them in a sauce. These are priced at under a dollar, so it’s hard to really go wrong with just popping a few bites in your mouth if you’re craving that ocean and salt taste. These are found at any Asian grocery too, some from Japan and some Korean. And as an added bonus, they are of course gluten free. Maybe have a breath mint nearby too! If you can’t make it to TJs, give these items a try…….

  1. I love seaweed snack packs like this and this is probably the worst one ever. I LOVE Trader Joe’s but this is a huge fail. It was great the first 5-10 minutes after opening it but if I didn’t finish the pack within 15 minutes the rest were (for the lack of a better word) “soft”. As in zero crunch, even when crumbling them into a ball, zero flakes, just a soft ball. If you eat seaweed, you should know what I mean…
