Trader Joe’s nutritional yeast is rich in B12 and other antioxidants and provides an umami cheese like flavor to dishes. According to vegans I know, you can pretty much sprinkle it on anything or stir it into soups and sauces to add extra nutrient rich vegan flavor. The Trader Joe’s yeast label says that you can add it to things like sauces, pizza, eggs and popcorn. I know that my vegan friends love to use this nutritional yeast because it’s a super easy way to get a lot of the nutrients that vegans often miss out on. If you compare the $2.99 for four ounces price to other groceries like Target that sell national brands like Bob’s Red Mill, this is a great deal………….

Trader Joe’s Nutritional Yeast
While I am not a vegan, I know that all my vegan friends are super creative with recipes, especially when they are trying to add necessary nutrients! I think this Trader Joe’s nutritional yeast may be a secret ingredient in a lot of the soups and vegan entrees I’ve had with them! Another bonus of this Trader Joe’s yeast is that it can supposedly last for years in your pantry if it is sealed properly.
Let me know all the ways everyone uses this nutritional yeast and I will post a few of the most interesting and delicious sounding recipes! There are of course many benefits to eating vegan, but eating vegan doesn’t always mean you have to miss out on really flavorful tastes and recipes. It’s funny when creativity becomes a necessity how really cool combinations and recipes can be created, and I know the vegan community is proof of this….
