According to TJ’s, this is purified water through reverse osmosis, with electrolytes then added for taste. Trader Joe’s Alkaline Water has a pH balance of 9.5 through ionization. I’m not sure what any of that means but supposedly because it has higher pH than regular water it helps neutralize acid in your body. For acid reflux and other ailments. It tasted about the same as plain water to me. And many of the health claims are in question. But if it helps you feel healthier, go for it. Doesn’t seem overly pricey at $1.49 for over 50 ounces…..…….
- Contains purified water and electrolytes (Potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium sulfate)

Trader Joe’s Alkaline Water with Electrolytes
I know a few people that drink alkaline water all the time and they say it makes them feel more hydrated and better than regular water. It’s always interesting to hear the latest trend that the same friend is doing at any given time. For me, I think I will continue to turn on my tap and drink the water that comes out of my faucet, but to each their own! I would never yuck another person’s yum. Let me know if this water has been beneficial to you or what your take on the whole alkaline water craze is. I’ll be curious to know if this is a passing fad or will stick at Trader Joe’s. I will say that Trader Joe’s is really good at being ahead of the curve on whatever health product craze is happening at any given moment. I’ll be posting soon about Organic Acerola Puree packets that may be replacing Trader Joe’s Acai packets as the next big thing. Check out these other options if you can’t make it to TJs….
