Trader Joe’s Butter Chicken, with Basmati Rice

This Trader Joe’s butter chicken with basmati rice is a solid TJs frozen Indian food option. It has a really nice rich, creamy Indian flavor to it for the basmati rice to soak up along with the good sized chunks of chicken and tomatoes. This is one of many, many frozen Trader Joe’s Indian entree options, and I put this one up there with Chicken tikka masala as one of my favorites. Of course this may not be the most authentic way to eat delicious Indian food, but it’s a nice stand in for when you don’t want to spend the time or money to order in or trek out to your favorite Indian spot…….…….

Frozen Indian Butter Chicken at Trader Joe’s

This Trader Joe’s butter chicken is a really nice option once in awhile when you have a taste for fairly authentic tasting Indian food without any cooking. How would everyone compare this TJs butter chicken to the other Trader Joe’s frozen meals like Tikka Masala? These TJs frozen Indian meals never fill me up as much as I’d like, but they always have a good flavor to them. And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..

  1. Teeny pieces of crappy chicken. Nothing like the picture on the box. Tasteless sauce with a little spicey heat but zero flavor. Worthless

  2. I like it, I think it taste pretty good for the price. If you don’t like it don’t buy it. I think the sauce taste pretty good, the spice is perfect. Well worth it.

  3. I bought this product and when I opened it, there were two measly pieces of chicken in it. Absolute rip off! Didn’t taste that great either. Don’t waste your money!

  4. Is the butter chicken peanut and tree nut free? Is it free from the chance of cross-contamination? Why is there not date on any of the boxes?
