This Trader Joe’s broccoli slaw is a good way to get a little crunch in your salad. Depending on how fresh the bag is, it can either have a slightly limp and bitter taste or a fresh tasting crunch. I like to toss this with dressing or make it into a cole slaw if I’m feeling super inspired. I know there are a few recipes that Trader Joe’s recommends that call for tossing it in some olive oil, or adding some fruit like apples to mix in. Usually the sell by date is a week or two out from when you buy it, so there’s enough time to make a few different recipes out of the 12 oz bag over the course of a week or so. It’s hard to find organic shredded broccoli or carrots for under a $2 price, so this is a good value…….…….

Broccoli Slaw at Trader Joe’s
What is everyone’s favorite recipe to pair with this Trader Joe’s broccoli slaw? I like having something rich and savory with this since it tends to absorb flavors and is definitely a very neutral tasting salad. Is there a go to sauce or recipe you make that incorporates this broccoli slaw? This is a really good way to make to an otherwise non crunchy salad like iceberg or butter lettuce have a little crunch. As with all the salads like cruciferous crunch or the kale slaw, the Trader Joe’s peanut sauce goes really well as a dressing or dipping sauce. A few times I’ve tossed it in raspberry vinaigrette or balsamic vinaigrette. Anything that’s sweet is always a winner with this broccoli slaw…..
