These Trader Joe’s fermented jalapenos pack a good spicy heat to them, and are perfect for adding to salads, Tex Mex dishes or even on top of buffalo wings. It’s not that easy to find jalapeno slices like this at a regular grocery, especially for a price of $1.69. The pickled vinegar they are fermenting in is a perfect way to cut a lot of the spiciness of the jalapenos. I like eating a few of these with cheese, or even sprinkling them over a frozen pizza for some added kick. Fermented jalapenos are one of my favorite ways to eat peppers, and as a nice bonus you get some of the benefits of probiotics with the peppers being fermented in vinegar and salt. ………….

Trader Joe’s Pickled Fermented Jalapeno Slices
Trader Joe’s is really good about carrying different forms of super spicy peppers and other foods, so it’s no surprise they sell these. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to eat these pickled fermented jalapeno slices? I was expecting them to be super hot like regular jalapenos tend to be, but the vinegar is the perfect thing to have these sitting in to cut the heat. If anyone has a super unique or creative way they like to use these, I’d love to hear! Just remember, if you don’t have a decent tolerance for heat, I’d still probably skip these just in case.
