This Trader Joe’s black forest bacon has a subtle and nuanced flavor to it that isn’t as strong as the apple smoked bacon flavor, but is still a great option. This is priced a tad higher than some other bacon at $5.49 for 12 ounces, but it’s super unique flavor is worth giving a shot. You can easily crisps these thick cut slices in a pan, in the oven or even in the microwave. I prefer the taste of applewood smoked bacon but occasionally I’ll mix this in my morning routine just for something different. And remember to pick up one of these little bacon grease holders so you can save all the deliciously nuanced bacon grease when you’re done cooking!………….

There was a time that only one type of bacon was available at Trader Joe’s and most other grocery stores. Thankfully, now you can get a bunch of different types of bacon, depending on what flavors you want with all the amazing grease and pork. If you want the most budget friendly and cheapest bacon at Trader Joe’s, those are the bacon ends and pieces. They have a bunch of different oddly shaped chunks and slices, but they still taste amazing. Unfortunately, they seem to come and go so they may be a seasonal item.
