Trader Joe’s Gyro Meat, Fully Cooked

This Trader Joe’s Gyro meat is really easy to heat and use in a gyros, or to put in a salad. I like to heat it up on the skillet, get the slices nice and crispy, and put it on a salad with some tzatziki sauce drizzled on top. When I’m feeling lazy, I put these in the microwave and just eat them hot with a dipping sauce. It can be hard to find a good gyro sandwich in different parts of the country. These gyro slices can really come in handy if you can’t find anywhere near you to try this unique Greek creation. There is nothing like a good gyro sandwich in a warm fluffy pita with tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and onions! I know that fancy Greek restaurants don’t serve this dish, but it still feels fancy and delicious when I make up my greasy, juicy sandwich…….

  • Made from beef rather than mix of pork and beef like many gyros slices
  • Already cooked and ready to reheat
  • Net Weight: 8 oz

Trader Joe’s Gyro Meat

Depending on where you live, you might pronounce it yee-ros or ji-ro or some variation of the two. However you say it, it is a really delicious meal in a pita, by itself, or on a salad. Don’t be afraid of just putting a few slices on the skillet and making your kitchen smell like a Greek restaurant. The package comes in an 8 ounce sealed sleeve. That is actually a good amount of meat considering how rich and heavy gyros meat can be. When I first opened the package I thought it would be a lot bigger but was totally full after eating just half of it. And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…
