Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pizza Dough, 1 pound

This Trader Joe’s gluten free pizza dough is a great substitute for regular dough and bakes up in mostly the same way, with a slightly more chewy texture. Trader Joe’s pizza dough has long been a great value and excellent tasting, and this newer gf pizza dough is no exception. Keep in mind it doesn’t taste identical to regular dough, but in terms of other gluten free items and pizza dough I’ve had, this is at or near the top in terms of flavor and texture. You can make homemade gluten free pizza with this, gluten free bread sticks, or even garlic knots. And because it has a good chewy texture, it’s great for dunking in sauces or dips. You can even keep this in the freezer for when you need it down the line a bit…..…….

Gluten Free Pizza Dough at Trader Joe’s

There are so many gluten free products now at Trader Joe’s that you really can pretty much eat any type of meal you want now without having to worry about your gluten allergies. This does contain some rice and tapioca starch which gives it a slightly unique chewiness, but I really liked the way it tasted on a homemade pepperoni pizza I made with Trader Joe’s pizza sauce. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to use this gluten free pizza dough? If people have had gf pizza dough from other grocery stores I’d love to hear how you think this TJs version compares in terms of taste and texture…..

  1. I have never seen this gluten free pizza dough in Los Angeles. Would you please let me know which stores carry this? May I beg you to carry it at the Burbank, CA stores…

    Thanks,

    Antoinette

  2. I was quite surprised when I bit into my freshly made pizza using Trader Joe’s Gluten dough, not sure why they add sugar to the dough, would have been perfect without it, bad idea of an ingredient that sticks out like a sore thumb when you taste it unless you like sweet bread. So far, in my opinion, Market Basket has the best Gluten free dough.
