This Trader Joe’s ghee is clarified butter that adds a deep richness to any dish that calls for butter. It’s also perfect for melting and dipping lobster in or in recipes that call for normal butter. A lot of people cook with this Trader Joe’s ghee because of its high smoke point so it’s a super versatile item. The only ingredient is unsalted butter, so it really can be used any way you like to use regular old butter, but with a better and richer taste…….…….

Trader Joe’s Clarified Butter (ghee)
Trader Joe’s ghee and clarified butter in general is great for baking with not just in recipes, but for cooking vegetables and other things in the pan. I’m curious how people would compare the taste difference of using ghee to regular butter in recipes, if any?! I think it provides a somewhat richer and better butter and fat taste to dishes compared to non clarified butter. And at under $4 for 8 ounces, this is a good value for ghee compared to other places like Whole Foods. And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..
