This Trader Joe’s flaxseed is an easy way to add a ton of nutrients like fiber and omega-3 fatty acids to your diet. It’s keto friendly, gluten free and also comes in a flaxseed meal package. It apparently is a lot easier to digest ground flaxseed, so the ground meal may be a good option depending on how you plan to use it. There are a lot of supposed health benefits in flaxseed, like better digestive health and less constipation, lowering LDL cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart disease. You can bake it into any pastries or muffins or just put some in your morning cereal or yogurt. And at a price of under $3 for 15 ounces, this is a good value compared to places like Whole Foods or other natural groceries…..…….

Flaxseed at Trader Joe’s
A lot of the health benefits that flaxseed supposedly has reminds me of Chia seeds, with both being classified as Superfoods. Whether or not any of the claims are actually true, it’s hard to say. Does anyone use flaxseed regularly, and have you noticed any difference health wise? I don’t eat flaxseed very often, so if anyone can help with choosing between flaxseed meal and regular flaxseed, that’d be a huge help! And then of course you have to decide between flaxseed or chia seeds, depending on what health benefits you are looking for. It’s all very confusing, especially when I just feel like eating a big old sweet and delicious piece of pumpkin cheesecake most mornings…..
