These Trader Joe’s rice cakes are made by Lundberg and have a nice light crunch to them. The salted rice cakes are by no means super flavorful but they taste healthy and are a perfect snack when you just need something to munch on in between meals. I know a lot of people eat these at night when they are trying to avoid snacking on sugary treats or other unhealthy options. The shelf life on these is pretty good and they should stay crunchy for a good long while. Plus, they are organic and made with brown rice grown in California.
TJs rice cakes are also vegan, gluten free and have zero grams of sugar in them. Now, when you taste them you’ll see why they don’t have any sugar and are gluten free, because these are basically just something neutral to crunch on in between meals. And they fill that void pretty well, all for a price under $3………….

Rice Cakes at Trader Joe’s
The only ingredients in these rice cakes is organic brown rice and sea salt. I haven’t had a ton of rice cakes recently, but how would everyone compare these to the original Trader Joe’s rice cakes with the TJs label that they used to carry? I was conflicted on whether or not to get the salted or unsalted rice cakes since I was after all trying to eat healthy. The salted ones ended up having that necessary added flavor since the actual rice cakes themselves taste like, well, rice cakes! Anyways, I sometimes spread peanut butter on these which makes for a nutrient dense healthy snack. What is everyone’s favorite thing to spread on these airy, crunchy little discs?…..
