This Trader Joe’s Yuzu hot sauce is a really unique spicy, salty and slightly sweet hot sauce that adds a great kick to anything you’d add regular hot sauce to. It’s made in Japan with Yuzu zest, chili peppers and vinegar. Yuzu is a citrus fruit from Asia and if you haven’t tried this little glass bottle from TJs, you should definitely give it a shot. I love the unique flavor of it, but beware that it definitely dominates the flavor of whatever you put it on. I’ve added this to guacamole, on steaks or even to salads and nachos. Keep one of these little bottles in your pantry and I’m positive you’ll find random ways to use it!………….

Trader Joe’s Yuzu Hot Sauce
There are so many good Trader Joe’s hot sauces that super unique ones like this sometimes get lost in the mix. I really love the flavor of this Yuzu hot sauce, but sometimes I get sick of it because its such a unique, dominating flavor. What does everyone think of this TJs hot sauce? If anyone has any good recipes or ways they use this Yuzu sauce, I’d love to hear about it! I usually end up going through these little bottles that are priced at under $4 fairly quickly, so the price can add up after awhile. If anyone has other Trader Joe’s hot sauces that fly under the radar, let me know! And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..

Trader Joe’s Dragon Sauce review
Refrigerate after opening?
Not really a hot sauce. More like a vinager. Should not need refrigeration
I thought the Yuzu hot sauce might be interesting in a cocktail. A timid experiment was: To a shaker: 1 oz Tequila Blanco (100% agave), less than 1/2 oz St. Germain, and about 1/8 tsp Yuzu Hot Sauce. Added ice and shook. Tried it just like that but it needed something, do I added tonic water and ice. Pretty tasty! Nice great from the sauce. Might be even better with a slash of orange juice.
