This Trader Joe’s ube mochi pancake mix is a chewy and delicious way to have gluten free pancakes or waffles. The purple color really comes out when you make these into pancakes or waffles. Not much taste or texture is lost with these being gluten free since mochi adds a really good chewy aspect to the waffles or pancakes. The purple yam adds a nice color and sweetness to the pancake mix. This is a super unique product that is really hard to find, if at all, at a regular grocery, so if you see these on the shelves at TJs, grab a box. These may be a Trader Joe’s seasonal item since I haven’t seen them since I bought a box a little while ago!………….

Trader Joe’s Ube Mochi Pancake Mix
Trader Joe’s ube ice cream is one of my favorite Trader Joe’s ice creams, with a sweet, smooth and unique flavor. This Trader Joe’s ube mochi pancake mix has a similar unique sweetness to it. Other than the fun purple color that comes out when you liquefy the mix, the chewiness makes it seem like you’re eating something even more substantial than a regular old pancake. Gluten free bread, gluten free pancake mixes and other gf products can sometimes have a gross consistency to them. But this Trader Joe’s gluten free pancake mix has made one of the best tasting gf mixes I’ve had because of the mochi texture. And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..
