Trader Joe's Umami Seasoning, Multi-Purpose

This Trader Joe’s umami seasoning has a really good savory, mushroom taste to it that gives a great flavor to any dish you add it to. I like to mix it in when I make burgers, and use it in sauces or soups. I’ve added to my chili a few times and it gives it a nice depth of flavor without overwhelming it. When you first smell this umami seasoning it has a super strong mushroom smell, but once you taste it the different savory flavors from the mustard seed and peppers come out. If you aren’t a big fan of mushrooms, and you don’t like unique or even funky smelling spices, I would stay away from this one. But if you like unique and really flavorful seasoning, this will definitely be your jam………….

Umami Seasoning at Trader Joe’s

This is a fairly new seasoning at Trader Joe’s but is definitely one of my favorites. It is super versatile and I really never regret adding it to any sauce or soup or meat. Even eggs it can be pretty good on if you’re in the mood. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to use this Trader Joe’s umami seasoning? I bet there are some sauces that would be amazing with a bunch of this added to it. I’m sure other umami seasonings exist outside of Trader Joe’s but I am not really familiar at all. Does anyone buy umami seasoning at other groceries that compare to this one? I love this mushroom/savory/onion taste and always have the little bottle in my pantry.
