Trader Joe’s Tequila, 100% Agave

This fairly new Trader Joe’s Tequila is a house brand and has a good spicy and sweet taste to it. It is not however the smoothest tequila I’ve ever tasted. I would say make a stiff margarita with this and you’ll be good to go. The Trader Joe’s margarita mix is literally made for this, and is the perfect combo on a summer night when you want a fun drink that’s not too pricey. And the great thing about the TJs margarita mix is it has far less sugar than most mixes. Trader Joe’s has started adding more and more house liquor brands in recent years, and they are generally a good value. This isn’t incredibly high quality or super smooth tequila, but at $14.99 for the bottle, this is a good, solid choice………….

  • 80 proof (40% alcohol)
  • Net Weight: 750 ML
  • Blanco made with 100% Agave Azul in Jalisco, Mexico

Tequila at Trader Joe’s

One of the great things about being by the beach or going on vacation is that you can sip a cold margarita with fresh ingredients. But even if you are just in your backyard, this tequila is perfect for homemade margaritas. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to make margaritas? Have you found other tequilas that are also a good value and taste better? I’d love to know if anyone has any secret ingredients or how they make their margaritas at home. Just make sure you have ice, some margarita mix, and a lot of good chips and guacamole around! Yes, you could use the Trader Joe’s Guacamole, but you may as well make your own if you have a drink in your hand…..
