These Trader Joe’s sweet potato fries are a really good healthy alternative to regular fries. They have a really unique fried smell when you bake them in the oven that I love. They are more difficult to get crispy than regular potato fries, but they have a nice sweet taste that is really unique. I sometime use these to make homemade poutine with Trader Joe’s cheese curds and the TJ’s turkey gravy. The directions say you can deep fry them in oil or put them in the oven. I’ve never deep fried them because I am lazy, but they are great in the oven. And for a price under $2 for a 15 oz bag, these are a good deal. It’s not easy to find good tasting sweet potato fries in the frozen section, if you can find them at all. These do the trick………….
- Great sweet potato fried taste
- Net Weight: 15 oz
- Can be tough to get super crispy without burning
Sweet Potato Fries at Trader Joe’s
Any recipe that involves fries is always a winner in my book. From poutine to putting these babies inside a sandwich, you can’t go wrong. For some reason sweet potato fries never seem to need ketchup like potato fries do. Maybe it’s the extra sweetness already in the sweet potatoes. I also never end up salting these as much as I do normal fries. The point being, these are a way healthier version of regular fries, while still having a really good flavor. Let me know any ways you like to make these sweet potato fries or recipes you created around these little orange flavor sticks! I forgot to mention, I love the orange color of these fries, They just taste better when they are colorful!
