Trader Joe’s Shishito Peppers

These Trader Joe’s shishito peppers are a flavorful and easy way to make an appetizer or healthy snack. Every 10 or so of these shishito peppers can be fairly hot, but mostly they just have a really nice earthy, fresh pepper taste and smell to them. Especially when you cook them over high heat in some oil on the stove top for a few minutes. They turn a golden brown, and the great flavor of the shishitos really shines through. The incredible sauce aisle at TJs is the perfect complement to these peppers, since its a no brainer to serve these with a really nice sweet dipping sauce………….

Shishito Peppers at Trader Joes

There was a time where it was very hard to find shishito peppers on menus or especially at grocery stores. It’s still not that easy to find these great little peppers at most groceries, but more and more restaurants have been serving these over the last few years. How does everyone like to cook these Trader Joe’s shishito peppers? If anyone has a great recipe for how best to cook these, let us know! There must be a perfect TJs sauce to pair these with too, so if anyone has discovered the ideal pairing, please share. I was thinking maybe the Yuzu Hot sauce? And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..
