Trader Joe’s Salsa Verde, with Tomatillos

I really love this TJ’s salsa verde. When I am eating super healthy but need something to add to my chicken or steak this is my go to. There is something about the slight smokiness of the tomatillos that makes the Trader Joe’s salsa verde really good. On occasion I will get sick of the really unique flavor profile and go with the standard Trader Joe’s red salsa. What do people like to put this on? It is pretty low on the heat scale so it’s really versatile. I wonder if you could I add this to chili plopped on top as a nice garnish? One thing I always do is pour this over my homemade nachos, and when you combine the verde taste with cheese and sour cream it is amazing! …….

  • Very healthy ingredients
  • Unique taste of tomatillos instead of just tomatoes!
  • Mild with a slight kick
  • Net Weight: 12 oz

Trader Joe’s Roasted Tomatillo Salsa

I really like putting this Trader Joe’s salsa verde on chicken. I’m not sure what it is about the ingredients that make it perfect with chicken but whoa is it delicious. Grill some chicken, melt some cheese, pour some salsa verde. The ingredients of the salsa verde are actually really simple and healthy. Not a ton of sugar like you find in national brands of salsa like Pace or Pecante. I always used to think of salsa as a sort of sweet and unhealthy condiment because of those but by adding tomatillos and not much sugar, Trader Joe’s has made it so salsa can be super healthy. The salsa section of TJ’s can be overwhelming, but this is definitely one to keep in your pantry for a random weeknight!
