This Trader Joe’s pineapple salsa is very mild and sweet, with ingredients like peppers, pineapples, tomatoes and onions. It doesn’t have the medium heat I expected it to have, so it’s mostly a sweet sauce like consistency that is good for topping nachos with or putting on top of teriyaki chicken. It has a nice subtle pineapple flavor to it and pairs best with bbq things that would generally have a teriyaki or soyaki sauce on them. It’s not the best salsa I’ve ever had, but it gets the job done as a sweet salsa or protein topping. I think I prefer the Trader Joe’s peach salsa to this though if I was choosing a super sweet Trader Joe’s salsa………….

Pineapple Salsa at Trader Joe’s
There is a bunch of different Trader Joe’s salsa at this point, so you really can get any type you feel like, depending on your taste. I like the tomatillo salsa and the plain chunky salsa. And I’ve been buying the peach salsa more and more, which I think has replaced this pineapple salsa as my favorite to top barbecued chicken with to add another flavor dimension! What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to use this pineapple salsa? I’m curious to hear what everyone’s favorite salsa is overall at TJs and what they usually eat it with. I love salsas as a condiment or for dipping chips in, so I’m always on the lookout for new and fun salsa flavors! The salsa aisle has come a long way from boring old Pace and Pecante salsas at the grocery store back in the day…..
