This Trader Joe’s palak paneer is like a creamy spinach dish that tastes like curry and Indian spices. It’s not bad made in the microwave and is a pretty good dish if you’re eating vegan and want some powerful flavors. There is a ton of spinach in this, which makes sense since Palak means spinach. This is also sold in a shelf stable pouch but this version tastes a lot better. Of course this is just one of a bunch of good Trader Joe’s Indian frozen meals, including Trader Joe’s Chicken Tikka Masala and Trader Joe’s Channa Masala. In general the frozen section at TJs is a great place for fairly priced frozen meals that actually have decent flavor and aren’t full of junk like artificial flavors, colors and preservatives that most national brands use…..…….

Palak Paneer at Trader Joe’s
This shouldn’t be confused with the Paneer Tikka Masala frozen entree that Trader Joe’s also carries. That one is served over Spanish basmati rice and is also really good but a lot different than this one since it doesn’t have any actual spinach outside of the spinach flavored rice. What is everyone’s favorite Trader Joe’s frozen meal? When I feel like Indian I usually go with the butter chicken, but I think my favorite non Indian one is the Trader Joe’s butternut squash mac and cheese. Although the last few times I was in my local TJs I didn’t see it stocked, so maybe it’s still only a seasonal item. And the new pastas like stuffed gnocchi are quickly becoming some of my favorites as they introduce new flavors. Sometime I just browse the frozen aisle and it takes me so long to decide that I clog the aisle!…..
