Trader Joe’s Pad Thai, Vegetable

This Trader Joe’s Pad Thai is made up of a few different ingredients like bean sprouts, noodles, tomatoes and various spices. It has a pretty decent taste to it, but you most definitely won’t confuse this for authentic Thai, or even one you ordered takeout from your local Thai restaurant. That being said, it does fill you up, in an oily, mild spicy noodle sort of way, and it’s super easy to microwave. You can also make it on the stove top but that seems like too much of a pain considering it doesn’t improve the flavors a ton. It does add some texture though if you make it on the stove. When you just pop it in the microwave it tends to get a tad bland and soggy. If you’re feeling ambitious, add some of your own oil and make it on the stove!………….

Vegetable Pad Thai at Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s used to sell a different type of vegetable Pad Thai that had over 500 calories in the package, so the nice thing is they’ve lowered it to 360 calories. And if you compare the ingredients in this to other national brands frozen Thai style meals, this is way, way healthier. There isn’t any super weird junk in here, but it’s still a frozen meal which isn’t always the healthiest option overall. What is everyone’s favorite way to cook this and what do you normally eat this with? Whenever I make this I always tell myself I won’t be lazy soon and will make a homemade Pad Thai, so if anyone has any great recipes, let me know!…..
