This Trader Joe’s mushroom risotto is an easy to make frozen meal that has a nice mushroom taste to it and is easy to make in the microwave. It can come out a bit watery, but considering how long it can take to make risotto from scratch, this is a pretty good option. And as a bonus this has fairly straightforward, healthy ingredients and has rich mushroom taste to it. Risotto can be an incredibly flavorful dish with a unique texture to it, but the only thing you really lose cooking this frozen meal in the microwave is that the great texture just can’t be replicated. But if you don’t mind that and are super lazy like me, this is a great mushroom risotto option………….

Frozen Mushroom Risotto at Trader Joe’s
There are a lot of Trader Joe’s frozen meals that I usually keep in the back of my freezer for when I get the craving and just want to throw something in the microwave. This normally isn’t one of those, but it does the trick if you really love the taste of mushroom combined with rice. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to eat this mushroom risotto? If people have a favorite Trader Joe’s frozen meal that combines rice with other unique flavors, let me know! I like the Trader Joe’s Japanese Fried Rice and the chimichurri fried rice, but it’s hard to go wrong in my experience with TJs frozen meals with rice in general. And if you can’t make it out to TJs in person, check out these items…..

Trader Joe’s Quiche review
Not very exciting IMO ist time around. Second try I added melted cheddar cheese and it was much better. It has good potential as a base to add things to. Next time I’ll mix in some Brussel sprouts and cheese. Alone it seems bland.
