These Trader Joe’s meatless meatballs are pretty darn good. They don’t taste like super fake meat with a weird lingering aftertaste. When I used them in a crockpot and added some sauce, they held up really well. I know sometimes it can be hard to find good tasting meat substitures that actually taste good, aside from the recent fantastic tasting meatless burgers that have become abundant. But in meatball form there still isn’t many options. These meatless meatballs, in the Trader Joe’s frozen section, fill the void nicely. I admittedly haven’t had many other meatless meatballs that I can remember, but these are legit………….

Frozen Meatless Meatballs at Trader Joe’s
The sauces and vegan recipes you can add these meatless meatballs to is seemingly endless. I would love to hear from all the vegans out there the best recipes and ways to prepare these precooked meatballs! Am I missing out on fun or interesting preparations when I just throw them in the crockpot?! I don’t have a ton of experience working with meat substitutes, so let me know! I find myself making sure the sauces I add to the crockpot when I make these are really strong tasting because I am still a little unsure about the meatless meatball taste. These are definitely good, but just not what I am used to. In the link below I have a recipe from Trader Joe’s that is a meatless meatball bbq sub that a few friends have made and loved! I”ll be curious to know if anyone has made that recipe and how it turned out. Cheers to TJ’s having so many vegan and meat substitute options in such a small store! …..
