These Trader Joe’s mashed potatoes are really delicious and creamy, with a great butter and cream taste. They are made with real potatoes and not that instant potato stuff. You can easily heat these up in the microwave or on the stove top and legitimately people will have no idea they are not homemade. It’s also really easy to add things like cheese or bacon to these TJ’s frozen mashed potatoes to make them semi homemade. I know TJs sells a few different frozen potatoes like frozen mashed sweet potatoes, and these are as good as the other frozen potatoes they have. One difference between these Trader Joe’s mashed potatoes and the mashed sweet potatoes is that these have added ingredients like milk, butter and cream. There is also a good amount of potatoes in the bag, with almost 2 pounds worth of mashed deliciousness for a price under $3!……..…….

Trader Joe’s Frozen Mashed Potatoes
What does everyone like to serve these TJ’s mashed potatoes with? They obviously are a super simple way to have a side dish for fried chicken or other proteins, but mixing in other things with the actual potatoes seems like a no brainer. Since almost no work is required to heat up the potatoes I have added some Gruyere cheese once in awhile to spice things up. I have not tried this Jason’s Cheesy Mashed Potatoes recipe from Trader Joe’s, but it sounds delicious. Basically these frozen mashed potatoes taste creamy, rich and delicious. And they are amazingly simple to heat up and pretend like you mashed your own potatoes! Just remember to not eat the whole bag at once. If you can’t make it to TJs, here’s a few options for mashed potatoes….
– Idahoan Instant Mashed Potatoes, 4.09 Ounce (Pack of 10)
– Idahoan Real Mashed Gable Carton, Premium, Valuue 2 Pack ( 3.25lb Carton Each )
