Trader Joe’s Mac and Cheese Bites

This Trader Joe’s mac and cheese bites have been around for over a decade, but have been slightly updated for 2021. They have a good panko breaded outside (TJs says they’ve made a thinner breading now) and if you bake them in the oven they end up with a good crunchy outside and a creamy diner mac and cheese style inside. You can also make these TJs mac and cheese bites in the air fryer for an even quicker meal. I’ve never loved this Trader Joe’s appetizer, but it definitely is a crowd favorite at a party or any other gathering. You can’t go wrong keeping a box of these in the back of your freezer………….

Mac and Cheese Bites at Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s mac and cheese bites aren’t the most refined finger food, but they definitely get the job done as a filling, greasy frozen appetizer. How would people compare the taste of these in the regular oven vs the air fryer? These mac & cheese bites definitely benefit from a good condiment, so if anyone has a really yummy dipping sauce they pair these with, let us know! And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..
