This Trader Joe’s lava cake with chocolate is incredibly dense and rich tasting, with a melted chocolate center after you pop them in the microwave. They come in a package of two little circular chocolate lava cakes, and are the perfect proportioned sweet snack. They may not look like much when you take them out of the freezer in their little black plastic dish, but they have a great taste and texture to them if you love chocolate cake. I would put these up there with Trader Joe’e lemon bars and mini cheesecake cones as one of my favorite TJs frozen desserts. If you love chocolate cake with a melty, chocolatey and gooey center, you definitely need to try these decadent little treats. And being able to only have one at a time is a really nice option………….

Trader Joe’s has so many good frozen desserts that these little discs of chocolate goodness can sometimes be overlooked. But for under $3 you can have two incredibly good little lava cakes that are way, way better than I expected.
