Trader Joe’s Jalapeno Sauce, with Fresh Jalapenos

This Trader Joe’s jalapeno sauce is an interesting creation. It can be really spicy if you use too much of it (and it comes out of the bottle super fast), but it can also be a creamy and cool addition to tacos or quesadillas. Or really anything that you want to dip into this. I think this goes well as an added bonus to dishes that call for sour cream, cheese and guacamole on the side. So tacos and other Mexican dishes pair really well with this. The great thing is there is very little sugar in here, and the garlic and onion mix really well with the jalapenos to form a creamy and delicious sauce. ………….

Jalapeno Sauce at Trader Joe’s

I really like this sauce when I want to mix it up, but you definitely have to feel like it. It pretty much dominates the flavor of anything you put it on which can be a good or bad thing. And randomly it will provide a really spicy kick out of nowhere, depending on each bite. I thought that was just shisito peppers that did that?! Let me know any recipes anyone has used this in or your favorite thing to put this on the side. I think this lends itself to super fun combinations and creations, so I wonder what would happen if you tried to use this in guacamole? I know people get very angry sometimes when you try and add crazy things to guacamole so maybe this is better staying as a condiment or dipping sauce. One thing I need to try with this is how it reacts when heated up. Maybe I can baste my fish on the grill with this. Here are a few buying options if you can’t make it to TJs….
