Trader Joe’s Hemp Seeds, Shelled Hemp Hearts

These Trader Joe’s hemp seeds are earthy, nutty tasting little seeds that are full of protein and vitamins. They have a lot of good fat in them, and are perfect for adding to salads, granola, or yogurt. These are also a pretty good value at $5.99 for 8 ounces considering how much places like Whole Foods charge. If you haven’t had raw hemp seeds before they aren’t explosively tasty and are pretty small, but they are a really good way to pack a meal full of protein. TJs used to sell raw unshelled hemp seeds, but I think at some point they transitioned to these particular shelled hemp seeds and they still taste clean and nutty………….

Hemp Seeds at Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s has always been ahead of the curve on carrying nutrient rich seeds. From chia seeds to hemp seeds and everything in between, the nut and seed aisle at TJs has a ton of options. How does everyone like to use these Trader Joe’s hemp seeds in recipes? I’m curious to know how people would compare the taste and texture of these TJs hemp seeds to more expensive brands. And if you can’t make it out to Trader Joe’s, give these items a try…..
