Trader Joe’s French Onion Mac and Cheese

This Trader Joe’s french onion mac and cheese is a cheesey and delicious frozen meal with a subtle onion flavor and some crouton crunch. This is another winner in the growing line of Trader Joe’s mac and cheeses! There’s the hatch chile mac and cheese, the gluten free mac and cheese, the Joe’s Diner mac and cheese, the butternut squash mac and cheese. And probably a few other I can’t remember! I like this new Trader Joe’s french onion mac and cheese more than I thought I would because it doesn’t have too strong of an onion flavor. TJs has managed to combine yummy Swiss and cheddar cheese and croutons and onions into a dish that really tastes like a good mac and cheese with a slight crunch and tangy onion background flavor…….…….

Trader Joe’s French Onion Mac and Cheese

There are so many good mac and cheese options at Trader Joe’s that I didn’t think there was possibly room for any more. But this may have changed my mind. May have. I’m not entirely sure I would buy this regularly since it doesn’t have the strongest french onion soup flavor or taste to it, but its a good way to mix it up when you get sick of the other Trader Joe’s mac and cheese varieties. What does everyone think of this new mac and cheese? Let me know your favorite Trader Joe’s mac and cheese variety and how you think this compares! 1. I think I like this recipe best of the three. I suggest that the container for the food (not the outer box) be made sturdier. Its quite flimsy when hot and seems like an easy way to make a mess, or worse, get burned.
