This Trader Joe’s flaxseed oil is organic, comes in a 16 ounce bottle and contains 5 mg of Lignans and 7 mg of Alpha Linolenic acid (an Omega 3 fatty acid) per serving. TJs has also sold cold pressed flax oil in capsule form over the years, but interestingly this organic flaxseed oil is shelf stable before it is opened. Generally flaxseed oil has to be refrigerated, and this Trader Joe’s flaxseed oil is no exception once the bottle is opened. This doesn’t have an overly fishy taste to it, and is perfect for adding to smoothies or taking it straight when you need a boost of Omega 3 fatty acids in your diet………….
- Net Weight: 16 oz

Flaxseed Oil at Trader Joe’s
There has been a few different Trader Joes flaxseed oils (or flax oil as the label says) at TJs, but this most recent one is a good value at under $9 for a 16 ounce bottle, especially compared to places like Whole Foods that carry flaxseed oil from brands like Spectrum for a lot more. What does everyone think of the TJs flax oil compared to other brands or forms of flaxseed oil they’ve had? And if you can’t make it out to TJs, give these items a try…..
– Barlean’s Fresh Flaxseed Oil from Cold Pressed Flax Seeds – 7,640mg ALA Omega-3 Fatty Acids for Improving Heart Health – Vegan, USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free – 16-Ounce
– Nature Made Organic Flaxseed Oil, Omega-3-6-9 for Heart Health, 1400 mg, Liquid Softgels – 300 Count
