This red Enchilada Sauce has a really nice bold flavor but is not overly hot. I always seem to go to it to spice up any protein I cook like Steak and Chicken. Of course enchiladas and tacos are great for it too. Trader Joe’s enchilada sauce is vegan too as a nice added bonus! The nutrition may not be ideal, but I don’t think this will be a huge negative in your diet if you use some on your meals. I have always liked a good red enchilada sauce, and this TJ’s version really delivers. Sometimes with sauces I get sick of them after awhile and they sit in my refrigerator for months. But I always find myself going through this quickly and looking forward to the kick it provides! It is amazing how man different versions of enchilada sauce are out there. I consistently find myself liking the flavor of this one though instead of the chain ones with odd aftertastes.

Trader Joe’s Red Enchilada Sauce
Let me know if anyone has really unique things to put this sauce on. I usually only think of Mexican dishes, but I bet this would go great on other types of cuisine. The flavor isn’t too dominant so maybe I’ll try putting it on nachos with melted cheese and baked in the oven!? I usually find myself making homemade nachos and then going through different sauces to pour on top, but this is one I haven’t tried that with yet.
