Trader Joe’s Cruciferous Crunch

Trader Joe’s Cruciferous crunch is a nice combo of kale, brussel sprouts, broccoli and cabbage that adds a decent crunch to any salad or entree. You can use a light dressing with something like lemon juice and olive oil since this salad is very thinly sliced. You can also toast this in a pan and bring out the subtle flavors a bit more. The taste of the red cabbage and green cabbage really come through overall.

This isn’t the most exciting salad but it is packed full of nutrients and really absorbs dressings well. You could easily add some mayo or cream based sauces to make a sort of broccoli slaw with cabbage and kale. And of course, this cruciferous crunch mix comes fully washed and ready to use. There are so many salad mixes at Trader Joe’s that it’s always hard to decide which one to grab, but you can’t really go wrong with this one………….

Cruciferous Crunch at Trader Joe’s

Because the flavors of this multi vegetable TJs cruciferous crunch are super subtle, you can make the dressing the main showcase. Trader Joe’s peanut sauce goes really well this. I’d imagine if you put this salad on the side of a few chicken skewers with peanut sauce, that would be a delicious and healthy meal. What does everyone like to use this Trader Joe’s cruciferous crunch with? I’m never quite sure whether to use this as a regular side salad with dressing, put it on top of a burger or mix it to make more of a cole slaw. I’d love to know everyone’s favorite way to eat this crunchy, nutritious, five vegetable mix!……..
