These Trader Joe’s Chia seeds are organic, keto friendly, and pack a ton of nutrients into a tiny seed. They come from a flowering plant that is native to Mexico and are perfect for adding to smoothies, oatmeal, pancakes or soups. This 12 ounce package is priced at $4.99, a great value considering what some natural grocers sell identical seeds for. There has been a few big studies studying the different heart and cardiovascular benefits of chia seeds. Whether or not they are a superfood, they seem to be a super healthy source of nutrients that could potentially help with myriad health issues. It used to be that you could only buy chia when you bought a Chia pet, but those days are long gone!………….

Chia Seeds at Trader Joe’s
There are a few different products that TJs sells with chia seeds in them, including Overnight Oats, but these 12 ounce bags are the most pure form of them. What is everyone’s favorite recipe or way to use these little nutrient packed seeds? I know that a lot of my friends add them to their smoothies every morning. Keep in mind that chia seeds expand when they are exposed to water, so you generally want to make sure they are pre soaked before you eat them dry and dry and drink water. If anyone has any unique or creative ways they use these I would love to hear! And I feel like there is a few different chia products I’m forgetting about, so if people have a favorite one in the store, let me know. If you can’t make it to TJs in person, check out these other options I like…..
