This Trader Joe’s burrito is dubbed a Super Burrito! by Trader Joe’s, seemingly referring to the presence of superfoods like quinoa, kale and sweet potatoes. This has a spicy Peruvian sauce on it called Aji Amarillo and is wrapped in a chile onion tortilla. It’s in the refrigerated section unlike a lot of other burritos that come frozen. This isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever tasted, and if you’re going for a semi healthy meal priced under $4 this does the trick. The sauce is ok and the ingredients are fairly satisfying, although this premade burrito definitely has some of the most ingredients I’ve seen of any TJs product. I guess that’s what it take to make a burrito that is not frozen and still stays fresh for a good while…….…….

Trader Joe’s Super Burrito!
There are a few different Trader Joe’s burritos at any given time in the refrigerated prepared meals section. What is everyone’s favorite of the Trader Joe’s burritos? I know they have a black bean burrito and a few others. If people have a go to burrito that I’m forgetting about, I’d love to hear about it! I think an easy way to mix things up a bit with this Super Burrito! is to add some of your own salsa to it, maybe even the Trader Joe’s salsa verde with tomatillos which I love. And if you really want to negate all the healthiness of this super burrito, add some crunchy tortilla chips and some sour cream and guacamole on the side. It doesn’t matter what’s in a burrito, you have to have good chips on the side with it. I think that’s an accepted food rule!…..
