This Trader Joe’s brownie mix has a good chocolate flavor with little chocolate chips mixed in. The brownies come out pretty chewy and slightly fudgy, with a definite taste of the dutch cocoa that Trader Joe’s uses in the mix. All you need to do is add some butter and a few eggs to make this before sticking it in the oven. It’s not the best brownie mix I’ve ever tasted, and priced at $2.99 it’s a tad more expensive than brands like Pillsbury or Duncan Hines. but the ingredients are way better and presumably healthier in this Trader Joe’s brownie mix than nearly all the national brands. I don’t absolutely love the brownies I made with this truffle baking mix, but they are a good standby to have in your pantry if you are feeling lazy and get the urge for some chocolate brownies!………….

Brownie Truffle Baking Mix at Trader Joe’s
I like having a few brownie mixes in my pantry at all times just in case anyone wants to whip up some brownies. But one thing I haven’t done is try and spice up brownie mix with added ingredients to make them semi-homemade and taste fancier than out of a box brownie mix. I saw that Trader Joe’s website has this recipe for Tahini Caramel Brownies, which call for adding a little bit of TJ’s Tahini to this brownie mix. That sounds like it would be amazing and add a new texture, so if anyone has tried it let me know! What is everyone’s favorite Trader Joe’s cake mix or other boxed treat? I really like the the Trader Joe’s meyer lemon cake that seems to be only a seasonal item. And of course the Trader Joe’s banana bread is one my go to baking mixes…
