This Trader Joe’s cashew yogurt is a dairy free yogurt alternative made with cashews, sugar, coconut cream and various probiotics. It has a good creamy tang to it, with a nice slightly sweet taste. But this is decidedly thinner than real yogurt. It definitely is a good “fauxgurt” that is perfect for adding fruit or granola to so that the the lack of thick texture is somewhat masked. This comes in strawberry and vanilla bean with a hint of coconut cream. TJs has done a nice job of making these healthy, not overly sweet and still have a real yogurt taste. And for a price of $1.69, this is an excellent value compared to what some specialty grocers like Whole Foods charge………….

The explosion of dairy free and dairy alternatives at Trader Joe’s in recent years is a great development for lactose intolerant and vegan shoppers. From coconut yogurt to cashew yogurt, Trader Joe’s does a good job of staying current with the latest trends. This cashew yogurt has a really good creamy tang to it that really feels like you’re having actual yogurt.
